Make your own Tanning Lotion or Oil

I came across many diff tips on how to make your own tanning oil/lotions....
which are probably safer and better for your skin then the artificial lotions and oils at the dept store.
When I was younger we lived across from a man who was Palestinian, even though he already had tanned skin he still went tanning at our community pool everyday! He used a mixture of Baby Oil with a squezzed lemon and let it sit for a few days before using it on his skin. It worked!

Here are a few others I found and have not tested yet! REMEMBER these DO NOT protect your skin from the sun or i's harmful rays which can cause cancer!!!

Found this on more than one blog-----
Homemade tanning oil can be made by combining refined olive oil with several drops of iodine. For a darker tan add carrot juice.Or both mixed together... Add  5-6 drops of tincture iodine (sabghet elyoud)and 5-6 drops of carrot juice to a small bottle of baby or olive oil and apply away.

Tanning Lotion

  • Lotion is a thick and creamy emulsion of oil and water. Designed primarily for hydrating sun-exposed skin, the following lotion can be made for a fraction of the cost of its store-bought counterpart.
Place 2 tbsp. coconut oil, 2 tbsp. sesame or olive oil, ½ cup lanolin and five drops of your favorite essential oil into the pitcher of a blender. Mix on low speed until the ingredients are thoroughly combined. To use, apply the lotion directly to the skin before going outside. Reapply as needed. Store any unused portion in a sealed container for up to seven days.

Tanning Oil

  • Tanning oil is thinner than tanning lotion and therefore goes much further, ounce for ounce. This particular formula contains iodine, which gives your skin a darker tone as soon as you apply it. Leave the iodine out if you find this unappealing, or increase the amount if you'd like to intensify this effect.
Mix ¼ cup olive oil, ¼ cup baby oil and ½ tsp. iodine until all ingredients are blended. Transfer the solution to a bottle and shake well before using. If extra iodine is used, be sure to wash your hands immediately following the application

Sunless Tanning Lotion

  • With all the recent research detailing the damage sun can to do your skin, it's no wonder sunless tanning lotions are gaining in popularity. Give yourself a sun-kissed glow without risking your health by mixing 1/3 cup of cocoa powder with ½ cup of plain, white lotion and spreading it evenly over your body. It won't work quite as fast as the store-bought brand, but with daily applications, it will gradually change your visible skin tone to a nice, soft brown without orange undertones.
